Flagstaff Classic Ultra Light Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels:
Commonly Asked Questions

1. Water Heater: The switch for the 110V/campsite power is located in the water
heater access door (on the outside of the unit) towards the bottom of the left
hand side. Pull the pin in the switch to turn the power on (DO NOT TURN ON
THE 110V POWER WITHOUT WATER IN THE WATER HEATER TANK). The
Automatic Ignition (DSI) switch is located on the control panel inside the unit.

2. Water Heater Bypass: To by-pass the water heater, remove the necessary
panels to reach the water heater from inside the unit (located straight in from the
outside location) and close the valve on the hot and cold lines going into the
water heater. Then open the valve running between them. Turning the valve
perpendicular to the pipe is closed and parallel is open.

3. When hooking up your LP tanks: Keep in mind that there may be some air in
the lines. Bleed the LP lines at the stove top first so when the appliances are
turned on, there shouldn’t be any complications. Turn both valves on and point
the indicator on the pressure regulator at one bottle. When this bottle empties the
gas will be drawn from the other bottle. You can remove the first bottle for refilling
without shutting down your LP gas system.

4. Water Filter Location: The water filter and pump are always behind an access
panel or three hinged cabinet door where the city water and antifreeze port exit
the trailer.

5. How to Winterize the water lines: We recommend that you have your unit
professionally winterized. Many dealers will teach you how to do it yourself. In
the case of an emergency, the first step is to empty all holding tanks and then
blow the unit out with compressed air. Hook the unit up to compressed air (do not
exceed 50 psi) and open and close all valves and low point drains individually,
including the water heater and outside shower, until only air comes out. Start at
the farthest point and work towards the water supply. Remove the compressed
air. Turn the valve to the off position (the valve is located right beside the pump
in the water line going from the pump to the fresh water tank). Then hook up one
end of a hose to the outside antifreeze port (open the valve behind the antifreeze
port to allow antifreeze to enter) and place the other end into the antifreeze
jug/bucket (customer supplied). Turn the water pump on. Keep in mind that it will
take several minutes for the antifreeze to come out of the faucets, as the pump
will have to prime itself to work out the air in the system. Be sure to bypass the
water heater or this will fill and antifreeze will not go through the hot water lines.
When this is complete, make sure anti-freeze has been poured into all p-traps
and some into the fresh water tank.

6. Manual Slide out Override: In the event of a power failure, each slide out has a
designed manual override location.
• For all dinette, sofa, and flush floor bunk slides: The manual override
location will be on the opposite side of the trailer from the slide. One will see
a 1½” hole opening in the skirt metal, step well or under an opposing slide.
Insert the supplied crank into the hole opening to manually crank the slide
room in and/or out.
• For all above floor slides: The manual override location will be on the inside
of the trailer under the slide, in an access door opening. Insert the supplied
manual crank to manually crank the slide room in or out.
• The cable slides (Wardrobe Slide, Rear Wall Bed Slide): The manual
override location will be on the side of the motor, either on top of or
underneath the slide. A supplied flex bit (located in the kitchen drawer) will
attach to the side of the motor. Attach the bit to a cordless screw gun, attach
bit to motor, and move the slide in and/or out using the screw gun.
